REFERRAL PROVIDERS
Clear referrals. Collaborative care.
We welcome clinically appropriate referrals from physicians, dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, educators, and other professionals for speech, swallowing and other myofunctional concerns.
CONSIDER A REFERRAL
Referral concerns may include
- Persistent speech sound errors or reduced intelligibility
- Atypical tongue placement or oral rest posture
- Tongue thrust or inefficient oral swallowing patterns
- Chewing, bolus control, or oral-phase transit concerns
- Open-mouth posture or difficulty maintaining lip closure
- Need for coordinated pre- or post-procedure functional care

WORKING TOGETHER
What collaboration may look like
With appropriate authorization, Beyond Words can share evaluation findings, functional observations, treatment priorities, and progress relevant to coordinated care.
Speech-language pathology services do not replace medical, dental, orthodontic, or airway evaluation. When concerns fall outside our scope or require additional assessment, we recommend the appropriate next professional.
Scheduling depends on clinical fit, referral needs, payer requirements, and current openings.
